This collection is made using very fine slabs, torn and re-constructed. Some have inclusions of brass, copper or steel, and most of them are fired at least three times to allow the subtle development of the surface.
The work translates a seeming fragility and precariousness, with occasional glimpses through 'windows' in the piece, underglaze drawing and small highlights of glaze.
